CURT heavy-duty welded ball mounts are the pinnacle of the receiver-style ball mount design. They are built from CNC-formed steel and are robotically welded to be strong, clean and precisely fitted. These ball mounts have the towing power to match our class 5 hitch line, offering a gross trailer weight capacity of 15,000 lbs. and a tongue weight capacity of 1,500 lbs. This makes the heavy-duty ball mount a perfect fit for the heaviest trailers to hit the road, including small yacht trailers, double-axle utility trailers, toy haulers, car haulers, RVs and more (NOTE: Never exceed the lowest weight capacity of any towing component; i.e. the vehicle, hitch, trailer, etc).
This particular CURT heavy-duty ball mount comes with 5" of drop, 3-1/2" of rise and has a length of 10". It is equipped with a 1-1/4" trailer ball hole and features a 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" shank. To keep our class 5 ball mounts well protected, we coat each one in a durable gloss black powder coat finish. This makes them rust-resistant, scratch-resistant and UV-resistant for a long-lasting towing solution.
